Visual art/photography

General 

 

 

1. At NuEpoca, we want to understand an artist’s vision in its entirety. In either the email or document, include the inspiration behind the piece, its emotional significance, the process of creating it, and/or anything else you would like us to know about the submission! This is optional and may be included with your submission in publication.

2. Visual art/photography may be used in conjuction with written works. 

 

Formatting

 

 

1. Include full name on email and document. A pen name is fine. 

2. The header of the email should be your full name/Photography(# of submissions) Example: Jane Doe/Photography(5) 

3. 300 dpi or higher is recommended.

4. EPS, TIFF, or PSD format is preferred. PDF and PNG are accepted. 

5. Each separate submission should be clearly labeled and be in separate documents. 

6. Include any trigger warnings in the body if necessary. 

 

Restrictions 

 

 

1. No submissions that purposefully discriminate against a specific group of people with no artistic value and are intended to spur hate against specified groups. 

2. No submissions that target specific individuals and resemble harassment/bullying. 

3. No submissions that have been published by another journal. 

4. No more than 10 submissions per category.
