HOW TO SUBMIT NON FICTION

General 

 

1. Non-Fiction includes: MEMOIRS, INTERVIEWS, ARTICLES, AND ESSAYS

2.  

3. Submit an Author Bio if you would like! (Max 250 words), but try not to repeat any information that is in the text itself. 

4.  

5. Although we will proof read each submission, submissions should not have outstanding grammatical and/or syntax errors. 

 

Formatting

 

1. Include full name on email and document. A pen name is fine. 

2.  

3. Submit either a word document or a google document to nuepoca@gmail.com. 

4.  

5. The header of the email should be your full name/Poetry(# of submissions) Example: Jane Doe/Non-Fiction(5).

7. If you are submitting to two or more categories, please use separate emails for each category. 

8.  

9. If two pieces are meant to be displayed together, but are in different categories, they can be submitted together. Please Head the email as: Jane Doe/Mixed(#of submissions). 

                                    

1. Include any trigger warnings in the body if necessary. 

 

Restrictions 

 

1. Submissions can not exceed 3000 words.  

2.  

3. No more than six submissions per category. 

 

        No more than 12 total         submissions.

 

1. No submissions that purposefully discriminate against a specific group of people with the intention or implication of spurring hate. 

2.  

3. No submissions that target specific individuals and resemble harassment/bullying. 

4.  

5. No submissions that have recently been published by another journal unless it is a substantially different version and you have clearance from the previous publication.
